IRON FUSION

Why do you need Iron Infusion?

An intravenous (IV) iron infusion is a medical procedure where iron is given directly into the bloodstream through your vein. You may need an IV iron infusion if you have low iron levels or are diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, or when iron supplementations are not absorbed or well tolerated by the body.

Anemia is a condition in which the blood doesn’t have enough healthy red blood cells and hemoglobin. There are many forms of anemia. Anemia can range from mild to severe. If you have anemia and cannot take iron orally (by mouth), you can get iron through an IV infusion.
